That's so sad, but you have so many fond memories of him, even if he can't remember. Illnesses are crap, and I've beendown those similar paths too. Watching the person you love slip away and you can't do a damn thing about it. Hang in there. Enjoy your grandaddy even though he's in this state. Relive the memories while making some new ones.
