I think it's an amazing album.
Of course Mike could never live up to Jimmy but he still pulled it off incredibly well and I'm just glad that he agreed to be a part of the album; otherwise there would be no Nightmare album .

It's a great album, it really is. Just don't let the loss of the Rev cloud your judgment when you listen to it. I think some people expect it to be the same, and that's not possible, so they become disappointed.

Oh, by the way, you might want to censor your swearing. Something like "f*ck" is fine.

A lot of people don't like the new album because it's so different and Mike's drumming instead of the Rev.

In my opinion, though, as fans we have to adapt to changes. I've been listening to the album for a little over two weeks now (w00t, torrents!) and it's grown on me. It's a mix of everything with something new and it's just lovely.

So far, all I've done is listen to my little pirated copy. Buying it physically will have to wait for my birthday tomorrow XD

@savannah kay: Not necessarily true. I got Coheed and Cambria's new album on first day release as soon as the store opened.

The new A7X album is awesome.
I can relate to this journal quite a bit too. I went to go buy Black Veil Bride's new album and they were either sold out, or were getting new shipments of it.
It was very angering.

Don't get mad at them just because they don't have it yet. They'll probably have it later today and you can buy it then. It's not the store's fault that they don't have a CD that just got released today. (?) That's going to be true of all CDs. :/

It's in the rules that you have to censor yourself in journals.

I think it's brilliant! Yeah, the drums are a little different, but nevertheless, just cause Jimmy ain't there anymore, do it for the rest of them.

Don't buy it. It's a huge disappointment. And you know what? I think, perhaps ironically, that it's all down to the drums.

Shadows, Syn, Zacky and Johnny are as awesome as ever. The problem lies in Mike Portnoy. Okay, yes, he's a very good drummer (He's in Dream Theater, for God's sake!), but he's no Rev. And that's the difference. The drums used to make the songs complete, they used to fill in all the gaps. It was what made Rev the best drummer in the world, and A7X one of the best bands in the world. Now, they just keep time, the way a normal drummer does. And Avenged just aren't the same. It's a crying shame, but it is true. </3
