Silent Melancholy - No shit it gets dropped in middle/high school. That's why people are trying to bring awareness to it. Do you think if people know their actions were causing the deaths of their peers they might think twice about doing it to begin with? People do stupid shit because they don't think about the consequences of their actions. The fact that this is being talked about so frequently kind of forces the issue to the forefront of everybody's mind, and maybe those people will think about those consequences next time, if enough people are talking about it.

But staying silent because it's just how life goes is saying the deaths of these kids--kids!--don't matter, and it perpetuates the problems we're having by saying it's not important enough to at least try to change.

True. Just by one person reading, there could possibly be one less bully or one less victim.

Though Silent Melancholy has a point (we all drop those things in middle school and high school) this is was an important post. And if one person has read it then you've made a difference.

@Silent Melancholy: No offence, but if the world thought like that, nothing would change. No matter what people say, words and ideas can change the world.

    Amen, Hannah.

I might be the millionth person to post this, but everyone who posts something like this has a point.
Abuse needs to be stopped. That's why I posted it. But thanks for the honesty SIlent Melancholy. And I agree with you though, how that does get dropped in Middle and High School.

Sorry to be a downer, but I'm sure anyone whose parents actually cared about them taught them to treat everyone the way they wanted to be treated. Just like in pre-k we are taught not to say anything if we don't have anything nice to say.

Sadly once we get in middle or high school we drop all that. Sooooooooo ya know thanks for being the millionth user to post a journal like this, but sadly it has no effect or power.
