    You have to whore your story out majorly to get comments anymore, sadly. Or even readers, sometimes. What I find works is making a folder in your bookmarks for each story and adding the links of the profiles of people who have already commented. Then when you update, just go through that list, visit everyone's profile, and let them know you updated and you'd appreciate a comment.
