Just keep in mind that everything might not go as you pan. For example, if you push religion on your children they might grow to resist and resent you... Sometimes there is such a thing as too controlling... As for wanting to marry someone the same religion as you, totally understandable.

I know how you feel; I refuse to marry anyone who's not Muslim and won't practice Islam. My religion is my number one love and I wish to marry someone who shares that love with me. :)

v That wouldn't be a problem for me because I don't plan to impose religion on any of my kids until they're old enough to understand what religion is and choose for themselves. But that's probably easier for me not to impose religion because my religion doesn't have place of worship. (:

I don't find it selfish, but I do find it sort of shallow. No offense or anything. I can see where you're coming from in not wanting conflict on raising kids though.

v To me, when/if i get married and have children, having a husband that does not have the same religious view as me could conflist with the way we would want to raise our kids. I want my children to be able to go to church every Sunday with the whole family. I want a family that will pray together. I'm highly religious, so maybe it seems selfish of me but that's how I wish for things to be. ^^"

What religion the person is doesn't matter to me. If I ever do find the right girl, I wouldn't care if she followed my religion or not.
Besides, I don't think I'd have much luck finding a girl who follows my religion anyway. At least not in America.
