It is also illegal. If someone were to type up a novel they loved and publish it as their own, they'd get in a lot more trouble than being banned from an internet site - they'd go to jail.
Yet another reason not to plagarize. (Plus it is, as you said, inconsiderate and just wrong.)

I just found out this morning that one of my stories was plagiarized. You wrote a journal that says exactly what I think about it. I hate it when stuff like plagiarism happens. It's just not cool.

agreed.I actually deletied my account and started over on this one because of the drama of plagiarism. I had 4 of my stories stolen by bad words! grrrr

I completely agree, which is why I had a mini-rant in my journal as well.
Plagiarism discourages some of the best (or developing) writers,
and that's just downright wrong. I couldn't have said it better myself.
