I don't find fillers necessary unless it's important to the plot, which it usually isn't hence it being called "fillers". A lot of readers would want to skip the useless details and go straight to when the story gets moving, you know?
Also, with the POV, if done correctly, the same scene in 2 different POVs could work. It works for Jodi Picoult at least. If you find yourself doing that a lot, there's always third person. Third person is great if you find that you're jumping all over the place with POVs.
I think things like adding filler depends on the person and the story as well- sometimes it's boring, but if you can fill in the gaps in a fast-moving plot with little side-plots or something that adds depth to the characters and meaning to the overall story, it can get really interesting.
Also, as a tip on the grammar thing, if you use Mozilla Firefox as a web browser, it has a built-in spell-check. Editing has never been easier! I don't mind the odd error -everyone makes mistakes- but there are a few simple things you can do, like using a spell-check, that just make reading easier for everyone.
