I am an Atheist myself, and find no need for a 'greater being' in my life. If your faith pleases you, go ahead and enjoy it. I'm very happy for you. But if you were to ever come to me with it, I would walk away from you as fast as possible.

I think that if you try to talk about your religion to me, I will politely walk away.

You said ''He is all that I live for''. I don't want to be rude, and I really think we should belive what ever we want but why would you just live for one man that died a long time ago?
And I get that christians appreciate that he died for them and god 'created us' but why would he 'create us' just to worship him? There has got to be more to life than that...

People who don't believe in your god can have just as fullfilling a life and be just as happy as you are. As you find happiness in your god, they find happiness in their beliefs. I don't know what I live for, I haven't found the reason yet. I believe everyone has a reason and I just haven't found mine yet. Maybe your reason for living is to believe and devout yourself to the god you believe in, but everyone's purpose is different.

As for me, I'm studying to be a Wiccan. But I don't believe that my purpose is to devout myself to my goddess.

I agree with mark renton. and Author.
Plus, Christianity tends to stifle my beliefs and tell me they're wrong. Abortion is wrong. Being gay is wrong. The Big Bang Theory is wrong.
Something I believe cannot be wrong.
And it also seems that religions block out other religions, claiming that polytheistic religions are wrong and you'll be sent to hell.
That's not right, I'm sorry. A Hindu isn't going to hell just because somebody else thinks their religion isn't holy.
    It's all relative, I guess.

v No, sorry, but I am the Walrus. xD

Here's thing about religion. You have to tolerate other people. You have to tolerate their swearing because it's not really hurting anyone. If someone is hurting someone, including themselves, you don't technically need to tolerate it. Everything else is pretty much fair game. Just gotta go with the flow and I am the Walrus, Koo Koo Ka- Choo.

It's because I don't need a supernatural entity to make us feel complete. I live for the people in my life who I love and cherish, and for myself. I live happily knowing that I'm a part of the universe, as Carl Sagan said it, "we are all made of star-stuff". I live for curiosity in the natural world and to always question things and learn. The idea of a creator is not impossible, but I see it as extremely unlikely. I also see the belief in religion is responsible for war and genocide and I don't want to have any part of that.
