i know what your going through my friends tried doign the same thing with me since i am a cutter. I think you should try ot get to know her a little bit better before you ask andwhen you gus get close enough just plan out ask her if shes cutting. You could also ask her if shes ok and tell ehr if she ever needs to talk no matter what you will always be there to talk to and listen to her.
