I remember all these songs about believing in your self, these songs that just helped a person get through the day because it made you feel amazing. It made you feel like you could do something with your life. But now, the only pop artist that I can respect now include some of P!nk's songs, ONE of Katy Perry's song (Firework), and I actually think that's it.

When I was a kid, I listened to Eminem, Busted, Queen, the original Sugababes and others. And their lyrics were meaningful, and they weren't like the ones now. There's one song, I think it's from Sugababes, that's addressing how we get judged on what we do, not our personalities. And how if someone's ugly, then everyone else is because we're all beautiful in our own way. That is what you call meaningful and amazing lyrics. They were amazing. Now? The ones that are full of fakes? No meaningful lyrics.

Agreed. Some of the pop stars that faded behind all this crap were my heroes. Some were my role models as I grew up, and hell, I still listen to some of those pop artist. So many little kids probably look upon the artist that are around now as their heroes...I'm not so sure that's a good thing with the lyrics I hear.

Pop music in late 90s/early 00s was amazing. Fair play. Nowadays? Don't get me start. Odd one or two who are good, but the majority sell out for money. Majority don't even sing live. Pop music made a bad name for itself.
