Thank you, both of you. That was actually one of the routes I was thinking of taking. I understand that if I do rebel there will be severe consequences and I might loose my mother's trust but it's not like I haven't made mistakes and kept things from her before (which she has a nack for finding out about half way through anyway.... I still have no idea how she does that) but she usually forgives me, with her trust in me maybe slightly dented for a while... I have accepted these terms and am just waiting to decide whether it is worth it.... But thank you, you really have helped me.

you might just want to talk to her.
if you do rebel, realize that you're accepting the consequences...and that she might do some extreme things in response.
and hey, just a note; you seem like you have a decent relationship with my mother, which quite honestly, I'm pretty jealous of. that's something you're going to treasure sooner or later, which is why I'd be for talking it out with her.

I think you should just straight up tell her what's going on..
you seem like you have a pretty good relationship with her, why break her trust and her faith in you?

There are plenty of things I wish I could have just came out to my mom about, and we're pretty close as it is.
