I think you should do what's best. If you believe it's something your characters would do, you should definitely do it. But if it makes you uncomfortable, then maybe not. Again. What you think is best and what you want. Do you want a sex scene? And I seriously doubt you'll offend readers. :) It's your story, so do what you want with it.
