Ya I guess but all I really ask for is for my family to be happy again and I try very hard to believe in god but it's very hard but I try that's what counts right you can say i'm kinda lost.

I have had answered prayers. Prayers get answered even when we don't realize it. I know that for a fact. What have you been praying for, if you don't mind me asking?

Have you ever heard the saying "God works in mysterious ways" ?

It's very true...your prayers are mostly answered in very discreet ways that you may never notice, they never go unheard.

I lost my faith a long time ago, but I like seeing someone who still has it. =)

You can't expect to have reassurance about life through a prayer. That is something you have to find inside yourself. I love the idea of praying - to me it's just a way of saying "you're in my thoughts and I hope things get better". Pray for someone else or pray for yourself but you shouldn't expect answers through a prayer.

My mom prays for people - just...for them. Not for anything specific, but just for them to be looked out for, I guess. She has a prayer list and she always says that once someone is on it, they're never coming off. I personally am agnostic and kind of iffy about the idea of a god, but I think sending prayers is better than nothing, if you're into that. Maybe you don't get answers, but at least you know it can't hurt. :)
