I hate wearing my glasses. My face gets irritated from them and the bridge of my nose swells and my ears used to feel like I had knives behind them. Plus, it's really obnoxious to try and get used to have absolutely zero peripheral vision. Personally, I like my contacts a lot more, even though sometimes my eyes burn and water like nothing else.

Also, I can't pull off glasses. But a lot of people can, and they don't have the problems I do.

    Good luck with them.

I've been wearing glasses since the second grade. First it was just for reading the board then in 6th grade I started having to wear them all the time because I'm blind as a bat.

They don't hurt, I personally love my glasses. I love the design and everyone says they look cute on me. They make you look a little more sophisticated. I have the sexy librarian ones. ;)

I also love my custom made sunglasses with my lenses in them. I didn't like the look on the transition lenses.

Obviously glasses are going to make you look a little different and feel a little different (you now see like every other human with good vision does0 but you get used to them.

I've been wearing glasses for - I'm pretty sure - ten years or a little under. They're great to see with because it's like 'yes, I'm no longer blind :DD' but where they sit on the bridge of the nose can start to hurt if you wear them for a long time. And behind my ears hurt sometimes too. And I sometimes get headaches from wearing them. So yeah. Mine are black red or dead frames that are sort-of thick. I look different with them on compared to how I look without them on. So yeah, there's a difference.

If they're not on your face they can be easy to misplace. Don't lose your glasses, lol. You'll go back to being blind.

I only wear them when I have to but I have some small thick rectangle lens marc jacobs they are black rimmed but white on the inside and black and white on the side parts that go to wrap around the ear.

I don't mind wearing them but most the time I don't prefer it just because I always have to clean them and some times they get in the way. Other times I really enjoy it because it prevents head aches or enhances the outfit I'm wearing. There's the whole vision thing but that's obvious lol. I suppose if they more drastically enhanced my vision I would love them more but I guess my prescription isn't super strong so I don't feel a drastic change when I wear them.

It's a little weird at first because everything looks so clear, and it's like you're seeing every little detail of everything that you never noticed before. It didn't hurt, but it did take some getting used to. It feels weird at first because you have this thing on your face, but that feeling doesn't last long.

After a while you don't even notice them at all. Unfortunately, glasses can be annoying. Sometimes they get knocked off, or they get dirty and you have to get a special cloth to clean them off. They're a hassle sometimes, but it makes up for it cause you're able to see everything clearly. =)

    I have contacts and glasses.
I hated wearing glasses for a long time, but I have these really cute purple/brown ones now. The only thing that sucks is that when you get sweaty or if you have make-up on, they slide down your nose.

I love love love contacts. I feel so much more confident when I wear them. The only time I wear my glasses is when I'm going to bed or if I'm having problems with my contacts.

I'm nearsighted and only wear them when I have too... I love my glasses but after a long time of having them on I get a head ache or when I'm sick it doesn't work. Every things so clear when I have them on it's funny to think that my eyes use to be like this. I look good with them on or off, but my face does look rounder with them on. :)

I'm so blind, that I didn't even know what I looked like until I got glasses. It was kind of strange and...emotional. I was crying, lol.

No, it doesn't hurt. Just don't wear them all day the first day; you might get headaches the first few days if you wear them the entire day. At least that happened to me, and whenever my prescription changes (yearly), I'm told the same thing.

Personally, I think I look better with glasses. I had contacts and didn't like how I looked with them.

I like black, thick frames. :) I look terrible with thin frames. The ones I have now are Rampage.

OH!! And you know what's funny? Now, when I don't wear them, I find myself going to touch them or rub my eye underneath them, because I'm so used to them. I feel like I'm still wearing them. The only thing that sucks about them (thick frames, at least), is that you lose your peripheral vision.

It takes some getting used to but eventually you won't even notice they're there. I've had them for like eight years now, so I'm pretty used to mine. It'll take a couple of weeks for you to get used to seeing through them and even getting used to wearing them, but you'll get used to them eventually.

    I have glasses :D

To be honest, I didn't think I looked the same and neither did my friends. I wore them for like a week and they were like, "WHOA! SOMETHING'S DIFFERENT ABOUT YOUR FACE."
I'm like, "Yeah. I have glasses now. I'm totally rocking it."

It actually doesn't feel any different but it makes everything much more clearer c:

I personally don't like the ones that have those like rubber things on the noise piece thing. It looks weird to me. I like rectangular ones. And black looks good on my face.

But everything looks good on my face.

Black is actually the best color they can have because it compliment everyone.
    So yeah c:

Well, I am nearsighted, so I only wear mine during class/while watching tv/ at the movies. Inbetween classes and everything, I have them off.

Me, well, I get headaches if I have them on for too long. And for some reason, I can't eat with them on or it really bothers me. Lol.

But, yeah, they are no big deal. You do look different, and it takes a bit of getting used to, but it is great seeing things so much clearer and crisper. :')

It's great to see well. I don't wear them even though I'm supposed to, I just use them if I 'm in the back of the class. But yeah, everything is crystal clear and you're like FUUUU am I really that blind without these?

It felt a little awkward to wear glasses at first but after awhile you get used to it. And it didn't really hurt my eyes or anything. It just felt a bit distracting until I got used to mine. :)

I wear glasses, I have for years. It's AMAZING to see well. The first time I put on the ones I have now, I couldn't see distance & everything looked pretty strange. (I have what are called prism lenses that are designed to make my left eye cooperate & for both eyes to function together) Now, it hurts to take them off.

I'd totally go for square-rims if you can!
I have black, square, Vera Wang glasses & I love them.
