What do you Look for in a Book? - Comments

I like a good plot. I like something I can relate to. Tittles... well not all of them are catchy, so I read the back of the book cover to see what the story is about.. I like action and adventure. Little drama and romance. I just realistic romance, not BS twi-fag. I like fiction. I like to see the story in my mind, good detail and descriptions. Other than that, the rest of the things I like are personal and unless you are writing the book for me, it doesn't matter. That's why I write my own stories.

I agree with the two people before me. I also find these kinds of things important:
Is it original? Have I read something like this before? Are the character unique enough that I'd like to know them? Is this story going to be flatline?
Can I understand it? Has the author described their story well enough that I understand what they want to say, or at least most of it? Do they send me too often to a dictionary? Is their 'speak' understandable?
Does the writer have good pace, to say, in writing? Do they use commas, periods, or other ways to pace themselves properly? Are they hurrying through the story, or are they going too slow?

Good title. Good character names, and not some stupid ass far out shit like a child named "Nicaridongawaong." No fluffy 4000 pages of description, either. If it's a brown chair, say it's brown. Don't say it seemed as soft as a baby's ass on a Sunday morning spring fawn day. Idk.
