I agree with Inked Art. If the movies had followed the books more closely none of you would be objecting to the time thing because you would understand better. If you've read the books then maybe I'm mistaken, but it came across pretty clear as far as I can see, and I haven't read the books in six years.

My point is that the movies really do make me angry. And I'm not going out of my way to read the books so the damn plot makes sense. I'm just going to complain on my ass because of the bad movies. X)

    *sigh*
His point was to create something that couldn't be explained through science. Is that really that hard to follow?

vvv. I guess if you put it that way... ;D
I just didn't think it had any value, they were just cutting corners. I don't know if it really adds to the story. Ehhhhhh.

What Schizzy said. Time can't be measured between Narnia and the real world because it never runs the same. You could be in Narnia for an hour and come back to the real world 4 years later, or you could return the same time you left.
CS Lewis explained it very well through Prof. Kirke and Aslan - unfortunately, the movies left that out

v In my mind it goes well with the state of the story. Narnia is supposed to be strange and magical right?

The point to the time thing in Narnia is to prove that nothing in Narnia can be understood using simple or mathematical logic.

    v. That's just illogical. I just think it's too convenient for him to do that, like he took the easy way out.

OMG PEOPLE LISTEN TO ME WHEN IM TYPING AT YOU lol

The time isn't set in stone. It ranges between however long he decided to write it. What could once be 3000 years could turn into 3 months if that's what he wanted.

The books are much better, trust me. The books make more sense than the movies do. Just like in Harry Potter. They screwed a few minor plot holes up in Harry Potter too.

vv. The movies themselves aren't bad. They just didn't follow the books that much.

I noticed that too. It just seems a little too convenient that they can bend the rules like that, yes?

Actually, CS Lewis himself said that the time in Narnia isnt charted and can range between 1reality year:300 years later Narnia to 1reality year:3 months later Narnia
