It's happened all the time though.
Look at how rock was viewed as the music as the devil.
People are dumb and afraid of what they don't understand.
Oh, that was just an example of why they would kill themselves. They'd already have to be pretty depressed to begin with.

That news report was completely rediculous.
They're blaming the music for teen suicide and depression??
Yeah, in some rare cases it may help, but honestly, if you're listening to a song like Ride The Wings Of Pestilence, and you take the lyrics seriously, then there's something already messed up with you. Lyrics to some song don't suddenly make you think "I hate my life, im gonna kill myself" If you are honestly thinking about suicide and self harm, it goes wayyyy beyond the surface of some lyrics. And these friggen oblivious adults overlook it as a serious problem and try to take away the music and the things that helped the kids to begin with.

Urgggg, that makes me uber mad, and Im sure nothing i just wrote made any sense....but whatever.........

    >.<

I see your point with this. But the band really does care. If they had a choice they would write back to every fan, but they can't. But these people also have to realize they are famous but do care about every single fan. Just because they don't write you back on a letter or something doesn't mean you should kill yourself over it.

There's always one person to ruin it though.
They could have saved your life
but for one reason or another killed someone else's.
Possibly because they didn't answer their letter and they feel abandoned by the band making them feel worthless, adding to a long list of problems and in the end they kill themselves.
Sad cycle really but there's a lot of whack-jobs out there who need help but refuse to seek it.

    Yeah.
It sucks but it depends on the person too.
It's like telling a overly religious Christian to preach about Satanism. Bit of a stretch but I hope you see my point.

True. Yes Some Songs I understand are kinda crazy. But those songs are from bands that seriously need help. And These Cutters think that if these Bands are suicidal and think its the answer and they should believe them. Than they think all Bands are like this. The bands that they said was EMO only took a certain lyric and tried to make it something that it wasn't. These bands know what there doing. MCR Has saved many lies. And As Most of you know In Life on the Murder Scene Gerard says Suicide is NOT the answer.

Haha no problem. They aren't that popular. Spell check lies! haha.

I'll say it again. They choose these bands because sadly all these losers (sorry if I offended anyone, I went through it so don't say I don't understand) that cut listen to this music and for some reason it become a link even though the music was probably the only thing keeping them going.

Yea. Well My Username has a whole other meaning. It Means Emotional Love. Meaning Passionate Unforgettable True Love. When i made it I had no intention for the whole EMO Scene thing. Sorry about that. If it sounded hypocritical.

ur username isnt rlly helping u out much. but i ttly agree, and i dont see how they are destroying lives when there are ppl on here (including myself) that were saved by the mere (sp?) existance of their lyrics. it really makes me upset, i used to cut, then i started listening to mcr, and now i got away with only like 2 scars and noone rlly notices them. my mom even says she's noticed the change in my personality and attitude since i was introduced to them. i dont see why they would pick a life-saving band, to pose as a life-ending sterio-typed band, it makes no scence to me....
