oh dear god give me a high five right now. i absolutely hate fan-fiction because they're always about bands like My Chemical Romance, Avenged Sevenfold, and All Time Low and plus most of the stories have bad story lines >,<

It's the fanfiction that can be found with the same plot, different words in about a million different stories that really bugs me. It reoccurs in a lot of stories about a major band usually.

Ferard is the worst... It's all I see every waking moment of the day when I search up slash... It is rather annoying. I mean, I know that it could be a good story, but a lot of them are usually about self harm or some drunken night or special eye contact. Also just MCR fanfiction in general that's written by a fan with no sense of originality. They find a special fan with pink hair, take her on tour, screw her, adopt her, take her babies, break up, every family member she knows dies, she attempts suicide, everything is fixed with a sorry. Just those types of fanfictions in general, cause there is way too many of them :/

I feel proud though because I'm writing a fanfiction about a pairing that has yet to be seen on Mibba for the first time ^_^

see, I agree with the points Pil Collins' Baby and Crimson_Desire make, its just the fanfictions written by the obvious airheads that bothers me. i have read good fanfiction before, i mean not all fanfiction is bad, its just the sheer overwhelming amount of bad or stereotypical fanfiction im really talking about

When I see stuff like this all I want to say is if you don't like it, don't read it.

I write about Avenged because I like writing about them. Mine might not be all that great, but I have read some amazingly brilliant Avenged Sevenfold stories. I'm extremely picky about stories that I read too.

I do agree with you about text speak though, it really grinds my gears.

This site actually started out with more Green Day and Avenged Sevenfold fan fiction than anything else, so yeah...

That's true that sometimes people put things in the wrong category but still, going to that tab if one doesn't want fanfiction is still the best thing to do rather than just browsing the overview page and expecting to find something.

v. Yea, that gets annoying. I will use pics of famous people sometimes but I always change the names at least.

What irks me is when someone has a perfectly original plot, and then ruins it by throwing people from MCR or Avenged Sevenfold into it. It's like they just use the characters for their face, because they aren't in a band, and it's not their personality. It's like, seriously? Change the names, please.

vv. Aha yea, girl gets kidnapped by tMCR, ends up falling for them after a rape. Bleh. Sure! It's called We Come Out At Night. It's a one shot though. :)

v. Not all original and fanfiction will be blocked though. Every once in awhile I encounter a fanfic in the original fic category or the reverse. :)

Just because someone writes fanfiction does not mean they or the story lack creativity, there is a lot of fanfiction out there that is highly creative and a lot of original fiction out there that isn't that creative.

Like fluorescence suggested, just click on the original fiction tab in the story section. That'll filter out all of the fanfiction so your results will only be original fiction, that's the best thing you can do.

v; That type of fanfiction I like. Not all stories with a7x or MCR are bad, but it's always the same plot. Something different and sweet, like yours, sticks out in the bunch.

I like fanfiction, but I agree. ALL the fanfics on here are either Avenged Sevenfold, or MCR.

It irks me.

Though I am guilty of writing a Synyster Gates one shot, but it has nothing to do with him or the band. He just suited the characters look/personality.

A lot of people like Avenged Sevenfold, which is a band that Vengeance is a part of. I can't remember which he is but yea. Many people write Bandfiction or fanfiction because they want to explore the pre-existing worlds that someone else created. I am a major fanfiction writer because I am very passionate about Thundercats, Supernatural, and Phil Collins/Genesis.

You can filter out all of the fan-fiction by clicking on the "original fiction" or "true stories" tabs in the sidebar on the story pages.

There's a lot of fanfiction on the internet because most of it can never be published, because the characters/setting is technically owned by someone else. The Internet is the only way to get it out there for people to read.
