Or maybe it's just because hundreds of people all over the globe are constantly speculating about and interfering with their relationship, to the point where they have little or no privacy. I'm pretty sure that puts a considerable strain on any relationship.

Um, I'm not judging most of them. I said someā€¦ there are no specific numbers in some people.

There's actually a lot of stress and loneliness to being a famous actor. Some do let the fame go to their heads, but at the end of the day, they're all real people. They have the same personality flaws that "regular" people do. Their marriages do break often because of scheduling conflicts, exposure to coworkers who work seductive charms, lack of privacy that "regular" people take for granted, etc.

I agree with Airi. Assuming this about people you don't know isn't very nice.

Psh, "regular" people can't hold onto a marriage. It isn't because they have money or too much pride. Regular people have the same problems. It's impossible for some people to hold a marriage for a year. Being famous doesn't have to have anything to do with people. People naturally clash, it's how we are. And that's not true, the famous people get does not mean they're going to be more cocky. That's a generalized, stereotyped statement to make. People have their own issues in marriage whether they're married or not.

There could be a lot of reasons as to why famous marriages don't last. To generalize all celebrities and say they're all selfish is very misguided and honestly rather rude. You shouldn't be so quick to judge people. The people's fame may have taken a toll on the relationship. Fame isn't easy and it can take a toll on a relationship if the couple is always in the spotlight and always being watched by the media and the public. The celebrities could have rushed into the relationship, lots of people do it. Famous and non-famous. Maybe they just grew apart, fell out of love. The list of reasons as to why famous couples divorce can go on and on.

Not all celebrities are selfish and that's quite a misguided thing to assume and say. There are many reasons why any relationship can fail, you shouldn't be so quick to judge a person's reasons for divorce.

I agree with ladyschrei, there's a lot of stuff that goes on in the privacy of the stars' homes and sometimes it gets to be too much and they just....grow apart from each other. Granted that a lot of times these people who suddenly become famous because of their marriage to a famous person, does let it go their heads, there are a lot of stars that care about their fans a lot. And remember, being a celebrity means a lot of power and with great power comes great responsibility. A lot of people get swept up in all of their popularity and fame but there are those who don't really care about the fame.

It doesn't always have to be fame that ruins a marriage. While it is most likely a leading component, there could be something that goes on behind closed doors that the press can't see, or never hear about.
