When I get really angry I go into my room, close the doors and turn the music up really loud (sometimes I dance around like crazy but that usually results in me kicking the air and falling over since I have no balance whatsoever). I also meditate complete with sage and candles or write -- they all help but that's just me.

I say try multiple things that you love and see what helps the most. Yelling at people is definitely not the way to go because if they laugh you're anger will just get worse (been there done that and I have a drawer full of t-shirts to prove it).

But I also agree with Airi meditation is something you should really try. It's relaxing even when you're not mad.

Try meditation. Meditation is a very calming thing and can really help those with anger issues. I have anger issues myself and picking up meditating has really helped me. I would suggest looking up some meditation music and giving it a try. If you want advice on how to get into meditation, you can send me a message and I'll help you out. ^^ I do highly recommend looking into meditation as a form of anger relief.

You could try screaming into a pillow or hitting a pillow. Hitting a pillow is the safest alternative. You won't break anything, hurt anyone, or hurt yourself with a pillow. You could try writing, drawing, or some other form of art. Art can be a very soothing thing. You could try getting one of those stress balls. You could listen to music. You could just cry. You could watch cartoons.

There's lots of things that can be done to relieve anger. Experiment with some and see what works for you.

I'm sorry but I laughed at the kick my cat part. I have really bad anger issues and have a bad habbit of throwing things, so I just cry. Angry tears /: But..I'm a girl so that might not work for you. You can get one of those stress balls that's shaped like the world (:

I kinda laughed a little at the cat bit. :3

But you said you have your writing. That can definitely help relieve anger. Uhm, video games help some kids... But can also make them violent, so that's a shaky method.

I turn to anime. I'm a total geek in that aspect. I don't repress my anger or really any emotions when I read manga/watch anime. The emotions in them are always so intense, I live them out with the characters. Everything I feel is spent by the time I finish a couple of episodes or get through a few chapters. That's my release.

There's also physical activity. Running, weightlifting, boxing, etc. Several people turn to that as a stress reliever.

Sometimes, when I'm angry, I write. I can get out some really good chapters when I write whenever I'm pissed off.
