La Kenton:
I didn't not like what anyone was saying, I was making a point that people take things online way too serious. So yes, I was happy with it all, and hope everyone realized that internest posts aren't something they should take to heart.March 30th, 2012 at 06:49pm -
I let people know if I don't agree with them but I never think there's a reason to get mad about it especially if it's online. This is a drastic example but say someone said they think one race is superior, you know people will get worked up about that. I don't think there's reason to, it's someone's opinion and they're entitled to it. I'm kind of rambling but basically I agree with you c: not necessarily on the academic world but just on how people take other people's opinions to heartMarch 30th, 2012 at 05:05pm

Maybe you should take your own advice and not take it too seriously. I mean whole idea to post a false, negative opinion just to get comments was stupid by itself and you just didn't like what people commented about. That is your own fault so stop taking it too seriously.March 30th, 2012 at 05:02pm

It's hard to tell what's a joke and what's serious online cause you can't really detect a tone from reading something, so yeah.March 30th, 2012 at 03:46pm

This is the internet. There is no sarcasm button. So if you make a joke and everyone thinks it's serious, they have the right to think it's serious. Does that make sense? Unless you explicitly tell them it's a joke, they're not going to magically translate that from your "joke".March 30th, 2012 at 03:35pm

Oh...That was a trap? Well dang...
I wasn't being hateful, just stating my opinion with what I know from what I've seen.
Well if that's how you get your kicks though, great, have fun laughing,March 30th, 2012 at 03:34pm -
I think that the acedemic world is over exagerated. Sure you need an education, but there is more to life then a few peices of paper lol
Scar stories are can be quite interesting, depending on how the person got the scarMarch 30th, 2012 at 03:34pm
It's precisely what it is. A global soap opera, encompassing an entire species. All things are taken too seriously. After all, we will all die and everything we will have accomplished will burn. Life's a laugh and death's a joke, it's true. Nothing should be taken seriously at all but tell that to the human race. ultimately it doesn't matter if you blow up a building, sleep with your best friend's partner or set fire to a duck. Why humans decide what ought to be serious and what ought to be humourous is always a grey area.
We are all living a pointless, futile existence at the edge of an unfashionable galaxy. Why else do humans take things seriously? They need to stay sane, they need to maintain the illusion that they matter in this universe when they clearly do not matter a jot. It's a coping mechanism. Don't knock the coping mechanism because you'll be using it at some extent.
