1) I'm trying to be positive now. 2) New unpublished stories, story layouts, story plots, chapter drafts. 3) There's Wattpad and writerscafe.org, but I personally think that they're not as good as Mibba. 4) Same to you, love <3
1) I'm not really bothered by it. I didn't lose anything that I didn't already have backed up. 2) Nope. Just some journals, but I don't mind. 3) I still think Mibba is better than any other site I've found because I really don't think that a server crash is going to be a common thing. But I checked out Wattpad the other day and thought it was kinda nifty. 4) You too, thanks!
This happens to every site. It's not very common but it's very possible it'll happen to another site you find. Even non-writing sites have it happen. It's just something you have to deal with you know?
1. Really couldn't care less. 2. Not much. 3. No idea, sorry. 4. You too c:
1.) I cryed in the middle of church and everyone was like"wtfff"
2.) I lost a bunch of updates for my stories, journals, profile comments, story comments, readers, poems, profile layout, a actual story, and alll the entrys to my contest
3.) there are a few like fanfiction.net but they dont have any of the good stuff here.
1.) I was upset, especially since I found out some news beforehand, so it kinda just made me really pissed off even further, but I've calmed down. 2.) I lost photo comments, profile comments, story comments, a couple story layouts, and had to re enter some writing contests -_- 3.) Umm...Ficwad.com, fictionpress.com, and fanworks.org. 4.) You too :)
Server crashes happy on every site, no site is excluded from suffering a server crash every now and again. No matter what site you go to, crashes are a risk. It's just something that is unavoidable with a website. The last server crash that happened for mibba was in 2007, nearly five years ago. Server crashes for this site don't happen often at all. So while yes, the server will probably crash again, it probably won't happen for a very long time. We don't really have much to worry about, server crashes are rare but something that are inevitable. Make sure to make up your files, download a program like Microsoft Word so your stories are saved to your computer in case this happens again.
1. I wasn't too upset when I found out about what happened. Maybe it's because I didn't lose as much as others did that it doesn't bother me so much. All I lose were a few comments on my stories and some journals. I can understand why others are so upset, though I do think some are overreacting a bit. 2. Just around four or five story comments and every journal I posted since April 5, which was a lot. 3. The only other writing sites I know of are fanfiction and fictionpress. 4. You too.
v Yeah, and it does suck that you lost the layouts. Reposting stuff isn't too hard--it's mostly just copy/paste at that point. If you really want to lose the site because of a server crash, that's your prerogative, but it doesn't sound like you actually lost any of your writing, and switching sites isn't going to guarantee this won't happen again, because other sites' servers crash sometimes, too. We can thank our lucky stars it doesn't happen much on Mibba.
v. I have everything saved on my hard drive. I just don't want to have to repost everything all over again. I had layouts and everything made for them, too.
1. Well, at first I was completely livid. I'm calming down a lot more now and I'm trying to be positive. I wanted to edit one of my newly posted stories and plan it out a little more, so now I can do that. : ) 2. Yes. I lost lots. Most of its backed up, but quite a bit is completely gone. 3. Erm, the only ones I know of are Wattpad, Quizilla, and Fanficion.net. 4. You too!!
You wouldn't have lost your writing if you'd saved it. Neither would I. It happens to all of us. Finding a new site isn't going to mean you'll never risk losing your writing again if you still don't back it up, because server crashes happen to every site.
1. I was pretty upset at first, but I'm recovering.
2. I lost two poems, fifteen poem comments, and about a dozen or so journals.
3. There are a fair few, none I think with the same features Mibba has, like journals and stuff.
2) New unpublished stories, story layouts, story plots, chapter drafts.
3) There's Wattpad and writerscafe.org, but I personally think that they're not as good as Mibba.
4) Same to you, love <3
