Eh, high school sucks. That's all I can really say. I've met great friends in college, all having different opinions on drinking and drugs. I like drinking with friends, and ever since I hit legal age, I've pretty much ditched soft drugs. Because if you're going to spend that much money, it's more fun to go to a bar. Martinis leave a better taste in your mouth than cigarettes.

But anyway, judging by your age, you probably don't have much time left in high school. You're really just going to have to slog through it. But it's worth it. Wherever you go afterward, you'll make better friends because you're out of high school. And you'll also find the purpose of alcohol is not just about getting drunk. You will find people who don't give a crap if you don't like getting wasted even if they do themselves. A couple drinks aren't going to kill you, either, but it's totally okay if you want to stay away completely from it. And if they do care, then you probably don't want to hang out with them.

Fortunately, I've never dealt with that kind of stuff. The majority of my friends (and I as well) are all "straight edge" since we're Christians and I personally have no interest in drinking, smoking, drugs, etc. Even with my non-Christian or other religion friends I've never had to deal with acting, looking, dressing a certain way. I've never had specific groups ever. My high school wasn't cliquey.

I've never really been affected by it. My friends are easy going despite the differences we have with our tastes in music and books and clothes.

Well thank you for telling me then. I am not trying to come off as rude. Just bad week and topics are touchy to me lately. But thank you really for telling me. I know I didn't really point out the fact clearly enough and I'm sorry for that as well. I didn't mean to put anyone down, or anything in that sort.

When exactly did I say I knew any of that? Your journal comes across as if you think all people who drink or smoke weed are failures. I'm sorry you didn't understand my post. And like Dru said, the censoring your swears is a rule and I'd rather tell you it's a rule rather than just report it, so.

It has nothing to do with us 'feeling so much better'. It has to do with being cordial and respectful and treating people the way you would like to be treated. If I were violating a rule and in danger of getting in trouble, I would appreciate it if someone took the time to let me know.

Sorry, I didn't know that there was a swear rule on here, I have been doing it randomly on here for a while now and I didn't know anything and I see people on here do it all the time. If it makes you all feel so much better, I will fix it.

Actually, the no swear word thing is a rule, not just a personal preference. You can get in trouble for it.

-little motorkitty;- You don't know my background and the people that I have known who have been, so this is my opnion. You don't know so, yeah. And my swears? I guess you haven't read a lot of journals or poems on here have you? I'm not the only one who does. These are my journals and my way of expressing how I feel. Swear or no swears, these are my journals and they are to be written how I please. I know that not all smoking and drinking make you a failure. I wasn't emplying to that. It was a list of things. I was making a list of people in my school. Drunks. Pot heads, and don't give a fuck people. I'm sorry you didn't understand. But yeah.

You know, it's not just black and white, straight edged or effed up. Drinking and smoking weed don't make you a failure.

And you need to censor your swears.

I'm afraid the world has always been this way, dear.
At least since the beginning of civilization.
