    In the south -where I lived- people don't care about carnival, it's like being in a completely different country- so I can't tell you from my own experience
    Anyway, I wouldn't get close to Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro or Salvador during carnival (the three cities where things really happen), I would be really afraid to walk there, especially being tourist, you rarely find someone who speaks English and all. A group of friends from my father went to Rio de Janero and loved it, I just watched through the TV, and it's really beautiful, I muss confess ^^

    I just watched some documenttries that's sorta freaked me out about brazil although I think it's kinda toed with India only feel safe in Mexico cause I know peeps lol. But I really want to go there during carnival what's that like?

    Actually I lived in Brazil for a year thanks to my dad's job and it's pretty ok there -it only depends where you go. Only problem, I lived in a small town and I'm a big city girl ^^
