It's kind of like in the "eye of the beholder". But mostly I think life just likes to fuck people over :)
In any case, I agree with you. Saying some mystical force will "get" someone back is not a solution. What you have to do is take the hammer in your own hands and do something about your crappy situation!
    And then eat ice cream.
    That seems to help sometimes.

I believe you get out of life what you put in to life some people would call that karma but idk. I do believe in the law of three though as a pagan which is sorta like karma I guess some people only take that in the magickal or spiritual sense though.

I also don't think it just means everything happens in this life time.

Well from how I read it you talked about people saying it and then you brought up your family problems so it sounded like you were blaming karma

I didn't take karma and run with it; you're reading me wrong here. I'm just talking about my pet peeve when people say "don't do anything, karma will make it better."
To clarify for anyone who might be questioning: I do not believe in karma. I have never believed in karma. No one has recently suggested I solve my problems through karma. This journal is about others and my pet peeves.
And I'm definitely not writing a journal about the legal system.

Yeah and some people base heir lives on luck or on karma or anything else that works for them really. But just because someone told you karma was going to get someone there is no reason for you to take it so seriously if you never believed in it before because it sounds like someone told you that and you just took it and ran with it.

Blame the legal system for what you just talked about in your journal. That's the real problem not karma.

Axel, I see what you're saying, but people base their lives around god and make decisions with him in mind. They love him.
I've never met anyone with a fervent belief in karma, or that make decisions based on karmic tradition. It's something people throw around like it fixes problems magically.
Kitsch; I'm glad we are on the same page. :)

Agreed. Mostly. There's only a certain extent to which I find karma relevant - putting in genuine effort and having it pay off. Good attitude, equal gratification. But sitting around waiting for 'KARMA!' to change your situation is a whole other story.

People also say God is with you and things like that. It's just what they believe in!

    v. I agree.
It's not something I'd personally want to fall back on as a crutch.

I mean, I read this again and it sounds like I'm slamming people who believe in it. Really it's as likely as any other supernatural occurrence (not that I believe in those, but hey, whatever). My point was that it isn't going to make someone's crappy day better by being reminded that "karma" will help..

When I learned about karma in World History a couple of years ago
it really made me wonder if it actually happens. Because like you said,
it's not something that can be proven to happen despite the bad things people do.
