but yeah i dont know exactly what my point was... but if their concerned about a cd or an mp3 or whatever or the radio then theres something wrong with it, music is music , lyrics are lyrics its a way of a person expressing themselves to get what thier feeling out of their system, so who cares what they think they can think whatever just tell them that. its a way of them getting what their thinking out and in the end helping other kids through music because they can relate to it and acctually promotes them NOT to do stupid shit lol im confusing and make no sense but im trying to help lol

this wont help but my dad hates my music... cept korn lol he likes them but i was listening to a song and i forget which band cuz i wasnt really paying attention and he told me 'desiree janine turn this shit off or im going to break it!' i told him go ahead and break it ill just use the money you give me to buy more or ill take the money you give mom and buy more, so shove it up your ass !! he lets me listen to anything now he just gives me a look... and i hate it

I forget how I got my dad into My Chemical Romance. I think I was blasting it and he came into my room and said that they sound good. So, I let him listen to more songs and now he is taking me to PR. My dad loves pretty much any kind of music, though. I'm now slowly getting him into The Used.

I'd tell them that gerard quit drugs and alchohol...that made my dad more accepting. and also i let them listen to "Headfirst for Halos..." they can't find anything wrong with a song that says "think happy thoughts" like ten times, lol!

Tell them MCR's views and how they help you. Show them lyrics for the edgy beat songs that have actually meaning. Sum parents dont want to listen to loud guitars.

Yes! I was actually at a show of theirs in February. They stopped in the middle of Mama to say that if anyone falls, you pick them back up, and all that good shit. They're really great guys!

my parents have listened to a lot of their songs. My dad listened to cancer when I wasn't there and when I started to play it in the car, he got all mad and yelled at me to change it. so ya, i did cancer. but their thing is about how most of the songs have the death theme.
