Oh, but there are so many emotions to be attached to specific dialogue tags... When appropriate, I suppose.

    Sighed.
    Hissed.
    Spat.
    Grunted.
    Snorted.
    Groaned.
    Announced.
    Hummed.
Breathed -- abstract alternative to 'whispered'?
    Responded.
    Choked.
    Sputtered.
    Stammered.
    Huffed.
    Laughed.
    Chuckled.
    Chortled.
    Mused.
    Chimed.
    Purred.
    Retorted.
    Whined.
    Slurred.
    Remarked.

    I could go on.

Why do you need fillers? Every chapter can have something important in it.

Depending on the context, you can use whispered, spoke, uttered, declared, stated, exclaimed, shouted, yelled, replied, answered, questioned, asked, told... Google a thesaurus if you'd like (there's one on Word if you use that program). Don't forget to use "said" sometimes too. Never using it is bad!

    Muttered.
    Cried.
    Bellowed.
    Growled.
    Snarled.
    Stated.

What I could think of, aha. writeworld.tumblr.com has a section/posts about variations for words. If you said them an anonymous/off-anon ask I'm sure they'll link you to something! Definitely not surprised if they have it. How I found tons of variations for 'walk'!

    Replied,
    Answered,
    Agreed,
    Vocalized,
    Thought out loud,
    murmered,
    mumbled,
    whispered,
    shouted,
    yelled,

That's all I got, I hope it was helpful
