She's a nonempathetic person who requires maintenance and attention. Not trying to be mean, just stating what I gather from what you said. Next time she does something like that, don't give her what she needs. You don't have to be mean, but you can excuse yourself. And when he asks about it, explain that you can't give someone all your energy/sympathy/whatever and get nothing back because it's draining.
