People like that, I kinda just want to punch in the face.
I have a friend who does that all the time. I tell her about my favorite band, she'll go and listen to one song, and BOOM new favorite band but she only listens to that one song over and over. So, I haven't exactly told her yet about Collide With The Sky .. or she'll listen to that album and choose one song she likes and call Pierce The Veil her new favorite band.

    That seems really harsh.

    @ Aris.
Well, who needs friends when you have music? c:
I do leave them alone. I never say anything to them. I just wrote about it on here because I wanted to get it out of my system.

    @ spencer reid.
It's not just this conversation that makes me think she is a poser. Also what I wrote was in general, not really focusing on her. I just used the conversation as kind of an example.

    @ AmorarEsDeVivir
I do agree with some of the things you said, but like I told spencer reid, I was just saying in general. I used that conversation as an example. About the girl, she said she has liked them for quite sometime, longer than I have, yet she knows not one thing about them. She does this with other bands as well.

Wow, people can be touchy about music. =/ I get that it's kind of silly, but really, it doesn't make the band's music different or make you like them any less. It may be a little annoying, but why care so much?

Besides, it is possible to really love a musician/band and not know a lot of their music. If they have one or two songs that just blow you away but you haven't had the chance to listen to a lot of the rest of their music, or you've only heard their music in passing a couple times and don't remember how the songs go but only that you really dug them, that doesn't mean you're a poser for saying you love the band.

v And dragging someone by the hair just for wearing a shirt of the band you like seems just a tad extreme and unnecessary...

Unless your a pacifist, do what I did when I saw this girl wearing a My Chemical Romance shirt. I asked her what her favorite song was and she said quote "umm...it's my aunts shirt?" I dragged her up the hall by her hair.

They're in all phases of music, you just have to deal with them. This isn't directed at you at all but just a general observation as you obviously know this band well; but the ones who call out 'posers' tend to be the posers themselves.

It's best to leave them alone, rise above it etc.

Or you can completely embarrass them in front of loads of people. My personal favorite, probably why I don't have too many friends.

    HATE that xD
At school everyone knows me to be a big A7X fan. Then all of a sudden I see people wearing their tees. I go up to them and start talking about the band... They know no ones names, only their popular songs, and tell me they're big fans. Gtfo -.-

A band can be your favorite even if you only like one song. -shrugs-
