Mibba culture goes straight over my head - Comments

I have to opposite issue. I have no problems talking to people online, but I have massive issues making new friends irl. If I hadn't had two of my old friends from school coming to uni with me this year, I think I might have had a mental breakdown.

I'm in agreement with Grump Bunny and yourself though, no one seems to want to talk on here any more and it makes me sad. I like talking to people on here, everyone is super-awesome and no one else seems to share my enthusiasm.

Lol, I don't think you're timid or anything. But yeah, conversing with people seems to have become super hard. No one really wants long-drawn out conversations. They want to say their bit and go on.

I didn't talk to many people on profile comments, but I feel like no one does that anymore, and it's kind of depressing. I would always love to talk to authors about their stories, but now it's just a quick thanks for the comment and that's it?

Yeah, a couple of years ago. When WAYT was ALWAYS active, the forums were fun to be on, there was always someone fun to talk to via profile comments, and the stories were really good. I'm not hating on anything now, just I miss so much of the things that made me come on EVERY DAY and never want to log off.

Old Mibba like a couple years ago? Because I feel the same way. Back when bandfiction was strictly a7x and the writing was generally... less cliche

I am the worst at IRL conversations. I probably come across as some freaky child who doesn't leave the house enough -- but maybe that also translates into my "online persona" as well.

I miss the way old mibba days were. I still approach this site like the old days and then I get rejected so bad.

I'm actually exact opposite, I don't have problems making friends, but I have a problem keeping my mouth shut at appropriate times. Like if someone irks me I either say something or my face turns red and then they ask me. I'm terrible about the whole "inappropriate conversations in public." but online, I have time to think things through and not make a complete arse out of myself.
