You're welcome! :) I hope it helps you out like it does with me. :) And don't worry about changing your outline when you feel unsatisfied with how the story is going. The beauty of having an outline is being able to change it to fit your ideas. :)

That looks extremely helpful, I'm definitely going to have to start doing that so my mind doesn't get all jumbled! :D

Outlines just serve to list down your ideas and plot out the direction you want the story to take and you can also include little useless information too such as your character's personalities, little details about their backgrounds, etc. :)

Outlines help with keeping you on task. Cute What you can do is plan out the first five or so chapters (depending on how long you want your story to be). All you got to do is put down little ideas you want to happen in each chapter. Like kinda like this:

    Story
    Chapter One
    -Sally meets Harry at school.

    Chapter Two
-After school, Sally's friend's take her out to the ice cream parlor where she bumps into Harry and his own friends.
-Things seem to get a bit more complicated as both parties come together and Sally finds herself being drawn to Harry.

    Chapter Three:
-Sally finally gets the chance to learn more about Harry.

^^Of course what I listed isn't an actual story I'm working on or anything (unless some one does have a character called Sally or Harry and the outline sounds like their story is a high schoolish story then it would be pure coincidence). :)

I've never done an outline before. I always mean to but I just start with a story and it just gets away from me. I don't know why I don't try using an outline. I guess it's 'cause I don't really know how to use one ha

I tend to write with music on, but when I'm stuck and I want some fresh ideas, I look over my outlines or what I have written so far, get up, and go for a walk while toying with the ideas in my had. :)

I know what you mean. I have to get up and dance around sometimes because I just need a moment where my brain can just let all of the extra ideas go. I do however have days where I'll write for hours and hours with no break which is probably extremely unhealthy. I don't post what I write during those times right away though. I usually wait and read it later so it's not too bad haha.

While I write I try to listen to songs that go along with the theme of my story. For example, I'm writing a story called Safe and Sound, which is about a couple that get kidnapped, so I listen to intense songs. Mostly though, I listen to 'Safe and Sound' by Taylor Swift just because the idea for my story is very fitting to her song

I can write almost anywhere, but if I'm in a really intense part of my story, I have to be alone. I can't have people interrupting me at all, either. It kills my concentraition.

Again, the state of the story depends on how my atmosphere is. However, I do find it much easier to have natural lighting filling the place where I'm writing. I don't know why, but it just broadens my mind more.

In my opinion, I think it's bad to just write for hours upon hours. It's good to get up, walk around, maybe have a snack. For me it helps to keep my 'creative juices' flowing.

I get in the mood to write when the inspiration comes. I try as hard as possible not to force myself, because when I try to make myself write the chapter/story comes out terrible.

I always have some kind of beverage and snack beside me while I write.
