Here is a rant about my stories/updates! Avid readers? No? okay... - Comments

Yeah, I don't like to make them wait either. But I think its better to let them know when I post. And not to "feast and famine" with the stories. Then they don't know what to expect. Plus, if I reach an ending sooner than I think, I will post more often.

LOL I feel you girl. Gosh I get frustrated when I update a story I haven't worked on in awhile and no one comments until I update it a second time. I'm like...I NEED MORE COMMENTS SO I CAN RELEASE SOME EDORPHINS lol. I'm crazy.

I know. It's just frustrating sometimes. I want to finish them so I can start new ones. I feel like when I finish at least one the stress will be a bit better to deal with. Not that I'm really stressed out with them... I just think that people lose interest in stories that aren't getting updated at a certain time frame. I know I should just write because I enjoy it but, I want feedback as well. Haha. Ugh. Whatever. I'm over it! :)

I know exactly what you mean. Just think of it this way...you basically have your entire life to finish these stories. Just pace yourself and work on them gradually. If you lose readers because of the slowness of updates, then that's their loss. Your writing is great and your true readers will stick in there with you. I know it can be very mind straining to feel like "Ugh I have too many stories!" but just hang in there. Work on the ones you get in the mood for. =D If worse comes to worse, go to your stories list and just start updating them from the top lol.

I try to do that, with the cliffhangers. I try to update several times a month. I hate waiting and I hate making people wait for too long.

That's where the problem is. There's something I enjoy about all my stories, so it's going to be hard to pick one that's my favorite. They are all my babies. You know?

  • I update once a month and I've been doing so for a while, I also notified my readers that I would be doing that so they would know what to expect. I have one story I update one at the very beginning of the month--the first day. It gives me time to catch up if I fall far behind, which I often do. And because a lot of my chapters are really long, I put them in parts one and two, I have one 3 part chapter, but I try to stick with two. I also like to leave off on cliffhangers because it will make the readers what to come back to see what happens.

  • Well I apologize, but I can't really help. I'm pretty much in the same boat as you. I always get ideas for new stories and end up making them. Also I get into a lot of Co-Writes. I want to work with a lot of different people and it's hard for me to turn them down when they ask. I just never have enough time. I need a second copy of me just to work on Mibba lol. Good luck though. Just pick out your most favorite story to work on and try that.

Thumb up I hope it works for you!! I know some people it hasn't but it's personally one of my favorite things to do ...until it isn't, lol. <3

That's what I was thinking of doing. Thanks Smile

  • For the idea you have, I definitely suggest writing down your ideas or even starting to write it just don't post it to Mibba. That way you can work on it to your heart's content without the pressure of having to post chapters for readers.
