Yep, exactly. Yeah, I'm getting a viewing party together for Evil Dead. You're lucky, it doesn't come out in the UK until the 19th! I need more good demonic possession movies, and zombie movies. I watched Sinister recently and while I appreciated what they wanted to do - it was all jump scares and re-hashed found footage stuff.

Me too! :D My Dad is taking me to see it because we love the movies so much! I'm excited for it and it looks scary as the original. I like the new spin on it too, and yeah lately horror movies are coming out to be a huge joke and lame plots. I don't want to know what's going to happen next, I want to be scared not roll my eyes and say "Called it"

Yeah, I'm excited about the remake. I like the fact that they've mostly done away with CGi, and also I like the new spin on the reason why they're at the cabin. I know what you mean - now it's mostly jump scares in horror, and that annoys me. The genre needs revitalization!

Thank you so much for posting this because I too watched horror films as a kid. Evil Dead was one of my first, I'll always love the trilogy because of them being my first horror films to see. My Dad is a huge horror movie fan so as kids we saw all the blood and gore possible. Nightmare On Elm St saw all of them before I was in middle school, so I was already messed up when I started writing. It was always vampires, demons, werewolves, and witches anything supernatural I could get my hands dirty with.

Hahha I was pretty weird too :) Don't worry about that.

It was really nice seeing this, at least I know I was not the only one drawing or writing scary stuff growing up.
