Thank you. You've given some great advice, and I'll definitely keep all of it in mind. I'm definitely not ready to find my soul mate, but having some fun sounds nice.

Every guy likes something different. I like fit girls but I also like girls who are curvy. I don't like morbidly obese girls who call themselves curvy lol. But I think your mum's right, you shouldn't focus too hard on it. It means you'll not focus on other important things or latch on to the wrong guy because you're desperate for a relationship.

Alternatively, meet new people. Do something new. Meet some guys, meeet some girls too. Go out clubbing/to bars not with the intention of finding your soul mate but with the intention of having fun. The right guy will be there eventually and you'll have to work at it but don't obsess over it. Have fun, do something new and you're bound to find a like-minded fellow.

I don't want love, I want a deep understanding. It just so happens that I fall in love with those that try to understand me.

I was much the same as you at your age. I first held hands/kissed a guy when I was 17 and a half. Then I dated a bunch of different people because I didn't know what I wanted or needed, which I don't really recommend. I have "loved" once, but I've said it half a dozen times.
It'll just happen. It's not something you should worry about because there's absolutely nothing you can do about being in the wrong place at the wrong time for love. Be happy with yourself, and someone will be happy with you.
