The Forgotten New Material (Green Day) - Comments

  • If they're playing 8 songs off Uno, Dos and Tre, that's pretty good. They have so many other songs to play as well, and they can't be on stage for hours after hours, so 8 is probably a good number. I probably wouldn't want more than that off the newer albums anyway. I also don't see how only playing 8 songs equals them not taking risks.... Think

  • I don't believe Billie Joe will be known as the one minute guy as Chris Brown is known as the guy who beat Rhianna. They're in totally different gossip circles. Billie Joe is just the front man of Green Day, one of the most influential bands of all time. He's done worse in public before than slag off Beiber. It was just the audience he did it to. And it doesn't matter, because that was not a Green Day audience.

I don't think people realise how hard it is for someone who has been drinking as part of their culture, their job, and their life in general to suddenly STOP. Not to mention the anxiety issues. I'd say a mix of that and the bad promotion is why they haven't played many new songs. But who knows. I doubt anything like Lazy Bones will ever be played live. I don't think we have the right to tell them to play it, either.

I have no doubt that when I see them next time in Australia, they will again blow my socks off once more. :D
