Haha very true. One of my favourites was gone by season 1 but my other favourites are still going on. For now.

Game of Thrones is one of my favourite TV shows. I don't like any of the shows you listed as your favourites but I'd recommend Game of Thrones anyway. Sometimes it's a bit tricky getting your head around all the characters and families in the show but you get the hang of who's who.

GoT is god, I love it so much. But man, don't look for it for happiness.

I'll just say, don't watch it if you have a strict moral compass. lmfao Personally, I loved it, but I've only seen the first season (I plan to by the second season soon- probably after my birthday). There is a lot of gratuitous sex and incest but if that doesn't bother you then go for it. It's a really interesting show with intriguing characters and a complex plot. I would recommend it to anyone if it weren't for the incest. That part weirded me out a little...

Don't watch it unless you want your hopes, dreams and soul crushed to death. Also don't pick a favourite character because HE WILL DIE.

    I love this show though.

I've been meaning to read the books, but I want to read them in English since translation can be really awful at times.
I usually understand English pretty well, but since they use a type of vocabulary I'm not very used to, sometimes there are words I don't understand.

i think it's awesome.. maybe because im into that stuff.. ii havent seen the third season yet because i am into like the vikings and all that, but the first two seasons were the best... I was a little disappointed that Jason Momoa died, so i think that's why I haven't watched the third season... But other than that it's awesome.. ANother show to watch is the Vikings... That caught my eye immediately... it was really good... The season is over and I can't wait to watch the second season for it.... But back to game of thrones.. It's a good show to me...

I dunno. It obviously just isn't your thing if you find it boring. I find TV shows like Vampire Diaries, Gossip Girl, and The Walking Dead boring, but I know others love the heck out of them. The talking can be really intense, which I love. There IS a lot of it sometimes followed by a sword fight but I like that kinda thing. I love the way the characters are built up. I'm in love with so many of them now, and I want to kill so many others... though I didn't love the ones I love until half way through the second season for what they do, etc. :)
I can see how the talking would suck if English isn't your first language, perhaps.

Game of Thrones is a lot like LOTR but with much more sex and much shorter life expectancies.
And the books are way better.

Maybe because i only watched season 1, I didn't see a connection between all these details. But it does get boring, you have a 50 minute episode and most of it is talking, plus I hardly every find subtitles and their accent makes it hard for me to understand the entire conversation xD

I LOVE THIS SHOW. Although because I haven't read the books, I get lost quite a bit. There's a lot of me sitting there going "who's that?" "why are they going there?" "what did that mean?"

If you've watched and enjoyed Lord of the Rings, watch GoT.
If you've played and enjoyed Skyrim, watch GoT.
I'd give it a go, anyway. I just find it totally addictive. And the plot twists D:

I get what you mean about the details though I see them all as important. Like, little things come back in little ways later on and it adds to the show when you pick up on them.

The reason why everyone has been talking about it is because a major plot twist happened in the show and, as expected, everyone on the social media was freaking out about it and posting spoilers on Facebook and Tumblr and whatnot. For those who read the books, they were expecting that to happen, but everybody else wasn't.

Now, I've only watched season 1 of GoT and I'll be honest, that show is a bit boring. It's a good show, don't get me wrong, but much like The Lord of the Rings films, it does get a bit boring after a while, with too much detail -some details do matter while others I feel are just fillers to make the whole thing seem super grand and glorious.
