you know youre very inspiring =p thing is, I know its wrong right, but hes my best friend but we're not all touchy and stuff...in fact I cant even look at him without feeling stupid.. (and plus we're in an Islamic school so you know its not like we see each other 24/7) ..and id never date, its just not fair to my future husband.. but if he proposed, id accept it right then and there

The problem with crushes is that they develop and we don't notice. I know how you feel. Part of my own problem was that i saw lots of Muslim girls hanging out with a certain guy. I found myself not lowering my gaze. In Islam I'm supposed to not be staring at guys and practice modesty. But these girls around me who were also Muslim were giggling and touching him and being very cutesy.

So I didn't know what to do. And honestly I never cried over him, but my heart felt very attached. Like if he proposed now I would seriously consider it... But besides that I had to get over it.

I would always talk about him and try and bring him up and I realized I didn't know him. I was just infatuated with the idea of a crush. Of having someone. But now... I can't bare to let must be trapped like that. It feels wrong to be perusing a guy in such a fashion. It's not modest for me to keep trying to talk to him and keep trying to be near him. It's not Islamic. And if I want to be with him... And he wants to be with me ( which is why anyone would want to get close to their crush) we should get married.

Not all this sticky crush stuff. It just hurts and doesn't work.

That's why I advise praying and learning about why Islam has marriage. I'm not saying the solution is marriage. I'm sayin the solution is understanding.
