Ok first off *claps slowly* I understand completely where you're coming from. I was a foster child for most of my life. I lived on my own most when I got of the Children's hospital when I turned eighteen and lived in an apartment with my boyfriend. My dad didn't come around till 2 months before I was shipped off to the Marines. He was a great guy, he only didn't come around earlier because he was in rehab. My mom didn't come around till I was 22. She only did because she thought I was rich. I wasn't Both of my parents are dead now but I got to say, I respected my dad more than my mom. My mom was a bitch and deserved what she had coming to her. My dad was a great guy with a loving caring heart. Just because they are my parents doesn't mean I am going to respect them when they treat me like utter shit. I yelled at my mom and told her off. I didn't respect her because she didn't respect me. Simple as that.
I get what your saying. I really hate when people tell me that "u only get one mom/dad" crap. Idk. It's something that u & u alone have to decide. No one can make the decision for u.
