    E-books feel so.. cold. The light hurts my eyes, and I just don't feel as connected with the story.

    I guess I like paperback better. Hardcover are much prettier, but I hate the fact that I can't exactly be "comfortable" around the book.

    With paperbacks I could snuggle up with it and not worry about getting food or oily palms all over it like I would with hardcover. I recently got all the Harry Potter books on hardcover and I nearly died when my dad balanced his cold waterbottle on one of them. And the dust jackets are so annoying, but I don't take them off or my hand will stain the actual cover with icky, oily prints.

    So yeah, paperback rules!

    My love for hardcover books is never ending. Yes paperbacks and e-books are easier to handle. But God I love thick pages, and the way they feel heavy and full of adventure, and books that look old when you take off those paper cover things. Just yes. Give me all the hardcovers.

    If you go through Amazon (as opposed to in-store) the Kindle Fire (which I assume would work best for textbooks instead of the other Kindle models) starts around $150. Which is definitely a lot better than an iPad. I got mine back in February, and I use mine for reading and I got a Bluetooth keyboard with it to type notes in school. I definitely recommend it, if you're able to afford it. It works just as well as an iPad (even though I am a fan of Apple products tehe). XD

    How much do Kindles cost? Like, I've seen textbooks for kindle being cheaper than even used books and I kinda like the idea of getting one XD

    I like all of them, honestly. I have so many paperback and hardback at the moment that it's easier for me to get them on my Kindle at this point, because I have hundreds of books. My dad made me a staircase bookcase, and I almost filled it all the way up, and I still have hundreds of books on my Kindle. But I love them all tehe

    I hate to say this but it's hard to read your blog with it being pushed behind the comments portion. Even when it's closed, your blog is cut off at the right. :(

    I don't know, I feel as if e-books are easier for me. They keep track of how fast I'm reading, and I can easily highlight words and phrases. Also, it's really easy to get definitions for words I don't know. I don't get why people don't like them.

    I prefer actually books(Either version) to e-books. There's just something about holding the book in your hands and the smell of the book. I just prefer them more lol

    I like reading while holding the book in my hands. Flipping pages as I read, yea, that kind of stuff.

    When I'm low on money and there's something I really want to read, then I read e-books.

    @ ladyschrei and @ sempiternal;
    I used to just buy whichever as long as I liked the content XD but now that I'm in a limited budget I look for the cheapest one. Luckily, my favorite authors favor paperback when it comes to their books; it's only one that I bought of them in hardcover, so I was lucky in that aspect XD

    @ She Said Poptarts
    lmfao People click on the blog 'cause of the title lmfao

    @ nicole byer.
    Omg, yes; the jackets infuriate me because they just are a bother when trying to manage the book and it ends up scattered on my room because I can't take proper care of it; I carry my books with me in my bag, which is like a black hole, so those jackets don't really go well with it.

    @ xMandiblesx
    I was not a fan of the e-books because of those same reasons; I grew up having to change form tape, to CD, to mp3, and now to all the digital libraries online and I wasn't quite happy about that; it threw me off, so when e-books started coming out, I was kinda like "Nope, thanks" but now I see the convenience for them (especially in textbooks for school tehe).

    Yeah also like you said...they are cheaper. Plus too....I also like that I can toss a paperback book in my bag and it won't weigh it down as much as hardback. I'm kind of on the fence about books online. I feel that books online kind of take away from literal things you can feel and touch with your hands. It's kind of like how I feel about email replacing actual mail and then texts replacing talking on the phone sometimes.

    I guess I'm just old lol. I'm 27 tomorrow and I've kind of gone through the whole technology change. I appreciate real books still personally. I do like to read stories on here though because they are raw and written currently.

    I love hard books. But I hate the little jackets they come with. I always end up taking them off and have them thrown away somewhere. I love the binding and just the classic look and feel of them.

    I also adore e-books. Easy, cheap, when its a book I don't heavily care for I download it, and you can have it literally everywhere.

    edit: It also helps that ebook outlets legally give you certain classics for free.

    I like both soft and hard covers, I save online reading for websites like Mibba, Archive of Our Own, and FF.net.

    It also depends on the book, on whether or not I'll get it soft or hard cover. If it's for a series I really love and was just released, and I'd have to wait x-amount of months before paperback is released, then I get hardcover. If it's already in paperback, paperback.

    If I go to a book store and happen to find one that catches my eye, whether it be hardcover or soft, I'll buy it. Lol.

    Ultimately if I had to pick, I like hard covers better. I feel softcovers fall apart faster, and the covers get damaged easier, which I don't like. Then again, I also whine at the slightest damage to a dust cover XD

    Lol that's why I prefer hardback now. You're right though, the hardback covers are always more interesting.

    Right with ya; they're easier to handle, don't cost as much as hardcovers, and are very light to carry around.

    @ Immoderate;;
    I'm an awful person with books; I like to bend them in order to read and hardcovers don't let me do that; though the art on hardcovers is always more beautiful than on the paperbacks.

    @ aradia megido.
    Until like 5 months ago I was in the same position as you; e-books are very convenient (especially for textbooks), but I have such a hardtime focusing when I use an e-book; I just get too distracted XD
