couldn't agree more. Although I have to say I've been lacking with reading things that I'm not subscribed to lately. That's not through me being lazy though, my phone doesn't work too well where I live and I have no computer so it's easier just to stick to what I'm subscribed to. However at my parents, I can read things, hence why I'm currently on a mad commenting rampage

A lot of people who complain about people not leaving comments don't bother to leave any themselves. And if people don't appreciate the time put into a comment, why should I bother? On top of that, I generally don't have the time to sit and write in-depth comments on stories that I'd like to. It's not me being lazy because I have other things to do, in real life and on Mibba as well.

I love recieving comments. It's just nice to konow people have enjoyed your work and are as excited about it at as you. When I see people have read, but not commented I feel like I wasn't good enough, unworthy. Like this site has some restriction - five comments a day! - and I wasn't worth one of your limited comments ]: I'm using a lot of French, which I'm not too fluent in so if any French darling comes along and spots a mistake and points it out I'll be more than thankful. I know I'm not a perfect writer, I always appreciate criticism.

It's like why people don't put up their hand in class to answer a question. They know the answer, they just can't be fucked. Plus there's only so much you can say besides from 'good' if you don't have con-crit to offer. It gets tedious / laziness / too cool for you / problems with showing affection, etc etc etc. Take your pick.

Personally, I am a bit afraid to comment on stories on Mibba. In my experience, users tend to want praise and nothing else. They don't want constructive criticism, they simply want praise. I've commented on stories in the past and I've been honest about it, I've given both praise and criticism in the same comment. I've been called so many nasty names for giving criticism that I have lost count of how many names I've been called. All I wanted was to help people but people didn't want the help, they made me out to be a bad person for it.

So I just stopped commenting altogether. I was tired of being berated for giving people constructive criticism and trying to help them, I didn't feel a want to comment anymore knowing that I could possibly get such nasty replies back. I've tried commenting on stories but I always second guess my comment. I second guess what I'm saying and I get scared, so I just don't comment because I'm scared.

I know authors like getting comments but when I think back of the response I've gotten for my comments in the past, it doesn't make me want to comment on any stories. I'm trying to get back into commenting but it's hard. I comment on a few stories every so often but I know I could be doing more and I'm trying.

I disagree with everyone wanting huge long comments. I like short ones too. It's not hard to type a sentence. That's where the laziness comes in.

What the person below me said but to add to it. I don't comment because I read mobile and its exceedingly hard to do a long, indepth comment when on mobile so I don't. I wish I could half the time.

People aren't afraid, they're lazy. LOL.
Everyone wants huge concrit comments with lots of detail and no one wants to write them.
    Simple as that.
