I like that. :) Thank you, and that was my intention.

"Elites" might be "khalet" or similar. It's good to try and learn it yourself before you try and introduce it to a story.

I'm not exactly sure yet. Recurring words so far are 'elites, the Golden Genocide' and some others. I'm not entirely sure where I will be taking this story yet.

Awesome! I'm a culture nerd, so languages are great. Guttural sounds, with lots of ragged edges and sudden stops, would be fitting.

I was thinking the same. A lot of the names start with a K, or have a K in them. My lead character's name is Khalan, his sister's name is Kali, and the race themselves are called Khallathians, or just Khallathi, being as 'Khal' means warrior.

If they're warriors, they're probably somewhat muscular and built. They might have a somewhat gravelly language, like dwarves or something similar.

Well, the people I need the language for are a warrior race. I would only need a few specific words.

There's a lot of work that goes into creating a language. More than first meets the ear. Are the native speakers human? How are their bodies built? Are the sounds of the language relevant to their body format?

I've tried and it's a hell of a job. I recommend not doing it unless you're willing to really look into it.

Unless you're just doing this for fun - then go ahead, enjoy it!
