We should capitalize the last letter of the words instead of the first letter so we can say the titles capitalized! Lol

They do delete blogs if there is a ton of grammar errors in the content itself, or if the blog content is completely written in lowercase or uppercase. If it's just the title or a few minor errors in the blog content itself, a mod/admin will edit it and message the user. Which fine, whatever, I don't care about titles, but I don't understand how typing in all uppercase/lowercase automatically is considered the same as "bad grammar" and is grounds for deletion >-<

Okay, yeah I see what you're saying. Blogs are random thoughts and fun and not really where we try to stand out as professional or gain readers. So yeah. I get it now.

they are being respectful (I literally just got the same message) and it's not that that everyone is worked about, it's just what they're fixing is extremely trivial and pointless. Capitalization in a blog helps absolutely nobody, so what is the point of doing it? Why are they wasting their time with this when they could spend more time doing the same thing to stories (where it's more needed). Blogs are informal and they're filled with peoples' thoughts. That's not a piece of work that needs editing in the first place.

exactly! and like I would completely understand if this was about story titles or poem titles or something, but it's the freaking blog title. Blogs are the most informal way of writing there is and things don't need to be capitalized here......................

exactly! I literally just got a message saying all my blog titles were edited to be capitalized and now I'm extremely annoyed. I understand story titles being properly capitalized but blogs are not pieces of work, they're literally just people talking about their day and don't need to be so formal.

this actually happened to me right now lol. someone messaged me saying they made an edit on every single one of my blogs and made the titles capitalized and now I'm extremely annoyed because I did not want my title to be capitalized!!!!

The only time I've ever had a blog actually deleted was when I was publicly bashing someone. Which I admittedly did, so I understood when the blog was deleted and I didn't bother to put it back up. (I was bashing my mom btw, not another Mibbian). And with the title capitalization thing I've just received a message saying it was corrected and that was the end of it. The mods have always been very respectful and professional to me.

Does Mibba not know how to design a website that makes titles automatically capitalised regardless of how they're typed? It's pretty simple. Surely that'd just save a shit load of drama.

Blogs aren't deleted, you just get messaged about it being edited. I've been messaged a few times because I'm not in the habit of capitalizing the whole title.

I've calm down since then and well all i can say at this point is that it is a writing site. And while the semi new rule to blog title has been enforced, It shouldn't be a big deal to capitalize your titles. Why come to a writing site and complain about people making edits to your work?

I see. The only thing I've been corrected for in a blog was like the other day when my title wasn't capitalized. They told me about it and fixed it for me and just alerted me it was something we were supposed to do. I usually always use decent grammar and proper capitalization in my blog content itself. I think they should at least give people 1 chance to fix their blog errors before just deleting them and they should for sure alert the user about any deletions.

I don't understand why they want the site to look professional. There will always be people who are just bad writers, and that's not professional. What are they going to do, ban the bad writers?

Yeah now it's also if you type in all lowercase/uppercase they'll be deleted, and if there's a ton of errors they'll be deleted as well. Also not using proper capitalization for blogs means a blog mod or admin will edit it and capitalize it for you, and minimal errors in your blog they will edit as well.

yeah, i've had blogs deleted before, except that was for not meeting the 100 words.

Just letting you know they won't tell you to fix the blog, they'll just up and delete it for "bad grammar" if it has no capitalization in it at all.

Were you alerted and given a chance to fix the blogs before they were deleted or they just up and disappeared with no warning?

This is actually how I feel about the whole deal but I just didn't know how to express it so yeah I'm behind this blog.

Also I'm just gonna comment on the story chapters thing: Sometimes I like to write my story chapters's titles in lowercase just for the sake of the layout. I just think in some layouts and some stories, lowercase sets off the right mood.

It's kinda weird, I know.
