I don't think you put too much dialogue in it - that could just be how you write. Personally, I write with a lot of sentence fragments in my stories and I know some people don't like that. It's just a personal preference :)

Maybe leave the story a while like you said and then see if another genre fits it. I have a few stories with only 2 genres.

Well I I don't think I put too much dialogue into it but I think I might have done better with that for the first chapter if I did so far all I have is a prologue but thank you.

Oh I did start reading your story, by the way, but I don't find an interest in stories with loads of dialogue. Kinda like how some people don't like the opposite of all description, I guess :)

I would have suggested what genre I thought it might be, fantasy or mystery, but I feel like the description didn't give that away. :)

Well thank you, that explains a lot though I'm still not sure what to put down for my genre maybe I'll post a few chapters and try this again.

I always see "mystery" as like, something mysterious. Maybe a crime has to be solved or something like that. Fantasy to me is more to do with dragons, unicorns, alternative universes and strange, wonderful new beings.
