It looks a lot like what he drew! I asked if that's it and he said no. I'm beginning to think it has no meaning and he just wants my phone number.

It may not be. I'm not sure, but it's the only thing I could think of that resembled it. Moonspell is a Portuguese black/gothic metal band. They're actually quite good, in my opinion, but that's just the kind of stuff I like. :)

It's not a normal one though. The bottom is like open and there's a cross through the star.

Some sort of pentagram maybe?
