I have started eight blogs over the past...five years. Only one of which has gotten updated constantly for the past two years. I just started up a book blog on Wordpress.com.

Let's see, you could narrow your focus to either music, writing or reading. I would start one on either Wordpress or Blogspot since those are both widely use and it's easy to interact with people.

I would also suggest making a BlogLovin' account which allows you to track all the blogs you follow (and find others) in one spot. I'm addicted to it.

I would update it at least twice a week to start out, make a Facebook Page for it if you'd like, a twitter account, and then link your blog to BlogLovin'. :)

The great thing about book blogs are memes which are like...different weekly things you can participate in. Here's a book blog meme directory:

    http://bookshelffantasies.com/book-blog-meme-directory/

Try not to get too shocked, because I am. I had no idea there were that many. I'm so excited!

Anyway, I would just worry about thinking up a name, maybe something simple and not too long so if you create a twitter/FB/Email address blog, it won't be hard writing it out.

I'll send you a few links later that should help you out that I've found.

(Allow me to shamelessly promote myself now: http://yaindulgences.wordpress.com/

Feel free to pm me if you want anymore help, I can try. If you find a book blog you like, don't hesitate to reach out to the person and ask for help, tips or suggestions. Cute

If you made reading blogs, I'd read those! I love hearing opinions on books from regular people rather than professional critics - I think I get a better idea of if I'd like the book that way. And if you include fanfics (or any online stories) that would be even better - since readers will be able to check out the story right away instead of hitting a bookstore first.
