Thanks. Yea, I have been a front desk clerk since I have had a job at 18. I worked 3 years at a Comfort Inn, a year at a Days Inn, and I've been here a while too. I used to work a dive though and did front desk clerk (any shift), breakfast bar attendant, and cleaned rooms. Not to mention I helped do maintenance since we didn't have anyone for that. Then I came here and I have only cleaned rooms a few times, and I have covered for breakfast. I also did something called reception.
Wow that was longer than intended, haha.
That is what everyone is saying, well the three people I have really talked to have. They say that it would be good for me to come out of my shell. Yes, sadly I do doubt my abilities, but maybe your right. Thanks! : )

Which department(s) have you been working in at the hotel? I work at a hotel too! I think you should go for it; challenge yourself. I mean, surely if you were offered the position of manager then that person thinks you are capable right? And I should think if things aren't going so well for you after a while for whatever reason then you could discuss what to do next (whether it'd be better for you to go back to job position you're in now). It sounds like lots of people think you're capable and that you doubt your full abilities to me - I bet you'll be awesome! I say go for it! Thumb up

I was the same way when I became manager at Subway. It's a good experience, and I think you can do it. :)
