I talk to her, yeah, but it's nostalgia talking. We're nostalgic people, we feed off melancholy. She sees me like she saw me five months ago when everything was fine and I didn't flinch whenever my sister spoke to my mom. She misses me too, but we know it can't be, and I do like Miki like I liked Rae. I guess it's for the best.

oh god, the way your sister is behaving about this is appalling, not to mention hypocritical. her "but I have a gay best friend!" rebuttal reminds me of the "how can I be racist if I have a black friend?" argument Rolling Eyes

I'm so sorry that you were forced into this. do you still talk to Rae, at least? (or I should say, does your SISTER allow you to talk to her?) because it's one thing to lose a significant other, but to stop knowing them altogether? that's probably one of the hardest things to do. you don't deserve to be treated this way.

my dad is a born again christian and although he's definitely transitioned into spirituality more than the staunch religious aspect of it over the years, he still holds an intrinsic prejudice against other sexualities. it's so sad and frustrating to see, especially being pansexual, myself. I definitely know where you're coming from. it really fucking sucks to mask a part of yourself to the people you should be closest with.

I really hope there will be a day when you can tell your family everything you've been hiding, and they'll be accepting of it. you deserve that much. <33
