Yeah, college is crazy expensive. I went to a major university so I have about $40,000 in student loan debt.

That's not long at all! When I go back home, I think I'm going to get in touch with the community college and see what they have to say. The only thing that's holding me back really is the money.

It took me 4 years! I had about 2 years of stupid gen Ed courses, then 2 years of English and teaching courses. At my school, I got a major is English and a teaching license. I'm not sure how other schools do it though.

That's awesome! How long did it take you to get through school? The only standards I have is that I'm not teaching little kids, so..

Hey, I'm an English teacher! I think it's easy to get a teaching job as long as you... ahem... lower your standards - as bad as that sounds. I teach in a low income neighborhood and I also teach a physical education course along with five English courses. It's not best case scenario, but I'm still teaching and I still enjoy it.
