@ Shayney92 Yes. I guess because I've been a little afraid to write something with them. And also I've been writing fanfiction for so long that I think it's time to write something original.
There was this one story I wrote which was just a total crazy thing, which came out of roleplay I used to do on a Simple Plan fan forum lol. It had three Pierre Bouvier's in the story...and was just a wild ride lol. Didn't plan it and it ended with a wedding lol.
@ Shayney92 Yes, especially the one's who have been with me for several years. I even have a couple of characters who have been in my head for over 10 years. I only now have started to write down their story :)
And, I agree. Though a plotless story without an end in sight is fun to write too lol
@ iggy. HAHAHA you are amazing!!! Thanks for your honesty. I started like that. I'm like stories need morals...what? Themes? huh? I though they just had words and characters did stuff in exciting places. the end. :P
@ The Pies Endure I love how you say you journey with your characters through the story. That is so true! Do you find yourself getting really attached to them as well?
Clearly a big part of story writing is that you to know what's going to happen at the end. I think it gives what you are writing a point or purpose.
@ Proud Saiyan Warrior Hahahaha! the poor guy. Just don't mention you have a penis and it should work out ok :D ahahahahaha!!!
Actually when you say it like that I have answered or thought about how some of my characters would reply. Especially to rude customers at work. :P I'd love to unleash some of my bad guys on them!!
@ Join the Masquerade I feel that hey! Like I've started so many chaptered stories. I keep thinking everything I write has to have chapters and I think I have kinda doomed myself... Writing one shots makes me so frustrated though cause I'm like so much more could happen... yes I am weird...and again with the late nights. My best work is at 3am :P
To be honest, I am probably the most disorganized person ever when it comes to writing stories. Most of the time I don't plan out any of the story line, I just plan out the characters. And I start it and I just write. I don't even know what I want the moral of the story to be. I'm trying to change that pattern, though. Because then the story only works in the short term and I tend to get confused and don't know where I want to go with the story. And I give up, thinking it will come to me soon. And it doesn't. What a bummer.
I think for me it depends on the story. But, most of the time, at least with my more current stories, I go into it already with an idea of how the story is going to end and then I usually try to do one chapter at a time. Though sometimes I write a chapter and my characters decide something else needs to happen between, so I sometimes insert extras inbetween. If that makes sense.
I don't tend to plot too specifically just generally. I learn more about my characters as I go along, which is part of the journey of my stories. :-)
I usually have a rough idea for a story, with a few pointers for each chapter. Most of the time I just wing it, though, hahaha. I've actually got the first and last chapter already written for one story. I wrote the first then got a wicked idea for how to end it so I wrote it while it was still fresh. Now I just have to go back and fill in the gaps.
I don't really have to be in the mood to write certain things, if I put my mind to it, I can write anything. It's keeping the concentration that's my downfall. Too many online games and Tumblr to distract me XD
