So, we don't put the actual story there? That's weird...

Oh no, you only post your word count there. They would have no idea if you did copy and pasting.
I don't really know how to use the actual site, I'm only using it to add my word count, nothing else. :)

So writing directly over there is a must, copy pasting is cheating? O_O
Also, what up with the site? So confusing! Is there any advantage to the badges it keeps showing? Should I win them or something (by filling profile and stuff...)

Haha, you could do that, but that's cheating ;P

That wouldnt be a problem at all, NaNo is all about getting the words down. You don't really edit or rewrite things until the month is finished, so it doesnt matter if you're not 100% happy with it. :D

I made the account right now, and I posted the chap here...it still wouldn't count if I copy paste it today? I mean...how would they know when I wrote it...? XD
And even though I do suck at the genre, the story is kinda becoming my new obsession. I really am in love with it (if you read all of this blog, I talked of creating a practically stupid female lead. It was initially for fun, but I'm loving her now XD) But the story might not be well written. Would that be a problem?

    It's fine tehe

Yes you can use it, however you can only count the words that you wrote on the 1st :) So say on the 30th you wrote 342 words, you wouldnt count those words in your NaNo word count tally. :)

I would personally say, pick a story you are really in love with. It doesnt matter if it's new for you, because if you love the plot, the words will flow eventually and you'll reach the target :)
I'm writing with a genre I've never written in, I'm finding it hard but it's a nice change of pace. :)

Oh I totally get it! Thanks for explaining.
Hey, I was wondering, I started writing a romance (a very stupid one might I add Facepalm) on the 30th...Can I turn that into my NaNo story?
Or it would be better to write something I'm good at? And not simply testing with?

Unfortunately I'm not allowed to let you if you're doing anything under an R :(
I don't mind, but the writers in our group are doing some heavy stuff, and it may make you very uncomfortable for you. We're talking human sacrifice/rape/self harm and sex. Thats why we have the groups, so people end up grouped with others that don't mind talking about the same stuff and no one gets offended or has to read anything they don't want to.

    An action/Fantasy would be either PG-13 or R (R is for mentioned sex/for language/violence)

    CONSTANTINE!
Oh God I love you for having that concept! I love that movie, not to mention Rachel and Keanu are my all time fav Hollywood actors and pair! Ah...I'm getting totally distracted! XD
And that means you won't let me join if I don't do an R? :/ Okay then, how do you rate an action fantasy?

I don't even have that! And really, I'm kinda nervous now, I made an account there. What's your idea btw? If you don' mind sharing...
Also, the group says it only takes stories rated R or NC-17. Won't PG-13 do?

    And I'm fine I think...

I'm doing good, Still happy from finishing off the fandom challenge for Dragon Ball Z :)
    How're you doing?

Indeed I am doing NaNo - I haven't started yet though, I'm eating chocolate and feeling sorry for myself because my idea sounds stupid to me now. My boyfriend's telling me just to write but I'm all sour on my idea now. Haha. I'm thinking of maybe just taking this night to finish some planning, because I got none done at all. I only have a story page and that's it. Haha.

    Yes, you can join late.
The novel doesnt have to be finished, you just have to write 50k words and you win :)

Just make an account/profile there and then you can join one of the writing groups here. The link is on the My Mibba page :)
